Even though there are more than 300 different type of banana species in the world, but there is one type of banana called Cavendish Banana, it has already been grown all over the world from Asia to Europe & America regions.
The problem with this sub species is no matter where you grow them and where it come from, they are all generically identical. That means it is vulnerable, because with no genetic differences, a single fungus or disease could wipe out this world most populated banana species.
